Revolutionizing the food service industry, one fryer at a time!
OptiFry was born from a critical observation: restaurants worldwide face the "Frying Dilemma" - prolonged use of frying oil creates toxic carcinogenic substances, yet managers discard usable oil "just in case" due to lack of precise data, resulting in massive financial and environmental waste.
Our team of engineers came together to create an industrial IoT retrofitting solution that eliminates this dilemma. By replacing subjective manual testing with continuous automated monitoring using capacitive sensors and predictive analytics, we address public health risks, financial waste, and lack of traceability simultaneously.
Today, OptiFry serves the Portuguese HORECA sector with plans to expand across Europe. We're leading the digital transformation of commercial kitchens through our unique RS-485 industrial-grade architecture that ensures reliability where Wi-Fi fails.

"To lead the digital transformation of the HORECA sector regarding food safety and resource efficiency. We envision a future where OptiFry is synonymous with quality assurance, where no industrial kitchen discards oil prematurely or serves food fried in degraded oil."
Drastically reduce the environmental footprint of the food industry by extending the lifespan of cooking oils through chemical precision. Direct contribution to SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production).
Act as a continuous, automated guardian of food safety. Ensure every fried product meets strict chemical safety standards, eliminating risks from polar compounds and carcinogens (SDG 3 - Good Health and Well-being).
Empower kitchen managers with actionable, real-time data. Integrate traditional kitchen equipment into the modern Industrial IoT ecosystem, optimizing costs and automating compliance.
Market Gap: Positioned between cheap disposable test strips (€5-€20, inaccurate) and expensive manual devices like Testo 270 (€400-€700).
Superior Solution: Continuous automated IoT monitoring at €299 starter price - cheaper than Testo 270 with better functionality.
Blue Ocean Strategy: No direct competitor offers RS-485 wired architecture immune to kitchen interference.
Manufacturing Cost: €86 total (€45 Gateway + €41 Node) with 71% gross margin.
